I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

Jeremiah 1:10 (AMP)

Thoughts from God

God brought to my mind the numerous times I've been so busy doing other things that I didn't hear my cell and/or house phone. I would be too busy getting my kids ready for school or myself ready for work; cleaning, watching TV, basically so engrossed with doing what I wanted or felt I had to do that I couldn't hear the phone. He reminded me of other times when I have been so busy sleeping or talking that I didn't hear the phone or, more to the point, just didn't feel like answering it.

God showed me how these ordinary activities are equivalent to what we do with Him. By this He means we are often so busy with things in our lives that we cannot hear Him when He is talking to us, yet we say we pray but God doesn't talk to us or we can't hear Him. But I have learned that God is ALWAYS speaking, but we're seldom listening. God says in His word "be still and know that I am God," but we are too busy "praying" to hear Him

Psalms 46:10  “Be still, and know that I am God"

What do I mean by this - we're too busy giving Him our laundry list of desires, our wish list, telling Him what we want to be done to stop talking and hear what His will is; what He has to say. This is witchcraft praying, trying to impose our will on situations and/or people instead of asking God for His will to be done.

Maybe He wants to say something about some situation we are going through, give us directions about someone or something, but, we're too busy talking; telling God what OUR will is to hear what His will is for us and our lives. Sometimes we do this out of ignorance, not knowing how to pray, but sometimes it is because we really don't want to hear what God has to say to us. Sometimes we're thinking "what if He tells me to do something I don't want to do?", "what if He tells me no to do something I really want to do?" Or we know what we're planning to do isn't God's will for our lives and we try to block out the sound of His voice by preoccupying ourselves with all kinds of things/activities thinking if we don't hear Him then we can't or won't be held accountable by God. We play all kinds of games with Him, but truly the only one we're fooling is ourselves because He, God, knows what is in our hearts before we do. Besides, think of it this way, God, the creator of the universe and all that is in and outside of it, knows what is best for us.

Again, think of it this way, it's like He has an aerial view of our lives. He is able to see all of the twists and turns that lay before us while we, who are traveling on the road of life, can only see each twist and turn as we come to it. He knows what can cause us to have "life more abundant" and full of glory

John 10:10 "... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full"

Psalms 84:11 "For the LORD God is a sun and shield;  the LORD bestows favor and honor;  no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."

He knows how to keep us safe; what our wants and needs are. You may be surprised at this, but, God knows all about YOU and is concerned about YOU.

So don't tune Him out, don't engage in witchcraft prayers, don't spend all of your time talking and not listening because God has something good to say to you that is only for you. His words, instructions, guidance are tailor-made just for you and your life. A word from God can turn a situation around, turn chaos into clarity if you'll only listen. He longs to chat with you; to tell you of His wondrous plans for you, to share intimate things about Himself with you. God longs to tell you things about Himself you never knew, so, “Be still and know" that He is truly God.
