The Lord recently spoke to me in a way that is unusual for me. I was in a time of prayer and I heard the Lord say, “Mark 4:39.” As I turned to this scripture in my Bible and read it, I knew exactly what the word of the Lord was for so many in this season.
Mark 4:39 says, “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.”
In another translation it says, “And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.”
The context of the scripture is a familiar story. This is when disciples are out on the sea in a boat with Jesus. A vicious storm comes and they are all panicking but Jesus is asleep in the bottom of the boat.
The disciples rush down and shake Jesus awake asking Him if he cares that the storm is about to kill them. Then we come to Mark 4:39 where Jesus immediately gets up and rebukes the storm.
Many in this season feel like they have been shaking Jesus, shaking Heaven, pounding on the door just waiting and praying for God to answer them.
You’ve been making decree after decree and declaration after declaration in faith but still haven’t seen your promise come to pass. Well, I have good news for you, my friends! God is about to answer your prayers! He is fully awake and ready to move on your behalf.
Never allow the enemy to convince you that the delay you are experiencing is because God is not hearing or seeing you. You are heard and you are seen by God every single moment you are in prayer. He sees you and He hear you and your answer and promise are coming.
Remember what the Angel said to Daniel about the interference in the heavens that was holding back his breakthrough. The Angel said this to him in Daniel 10:12-13, “Do not be afraid, Daniel.
Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.”
I believe this is a word for you in this season! God hears you and has heard you but the enemy is not going to let you have your promise without a fight! Keep asking, keep praying and keep seeking the Lord because your breakthrough is coming.
The Lord has never lost a battle and every single thing the enemy is throwing at you in an attempt to disrupt your promise will be thrown down and you will be victorious.
Be assured today that when you pray, your prayers are heard. You may not see the full manifestation the first time you pray, in fact, you probably won’t.
However, just keep standing in the authority God has given you and keep believing for your promise to break through at any moment. Your answer is coming.
The Lord is fully awake and every storm that has been raging in your life is about to be silenced and calmed by one word from God. Yes, He cares.
Yes, He hears you and do not give up now! Raise your expectation, lift your eyes and fortify your faith in this season because you are about to step into every single thing God has promised you!
